Recreational yachting has a historical nexus at the Pensacola Yacht Club where sailboat racing has been hosted since 1908. The favorable sailing climate and protected waters of the Bay are perfectly aligned to support the explosion of hydrofoiling which features convincingly endorsed by Team American Magic in their move to the Port of Pensacola, their new base for race, team, and development activities! Its no surprise then that Pensacola is now the North American home of Foiling Week, the international promotor of hydrofoiling adoption in watercraft!
